The spinosaurids are a particular race of dinosaurs, adapted to live near water; however, they found rivalry with the giant crocodiles that already inhabited the waters. So, the spinosaurids changed their aspect to mimic crocodiles. The baryonyx, particularly, rensembles very much a sarcosuchus, being that the only giant crocodile that inhabits rivers.
This dinosaur is both bipedal and quadrupedal, usually walking on all fours and running on two legs. Its claws are sharp and strong, but so are its teeth. In fact baryonyxes got a very strong bite. This dinosaur has thick scales, but they're not as thought as crocodile's ones.
Baryonyxes are adeps swimmers, able even to swim countercurrently. Among the spinosaurids, they're the fastest and the most agile.
There're reports of baryonyx attack to boats, but they're less common than sarcosuchus's ones.
